Listening and responding to people living with sight loss
We have a dedicated team of staff who have a wide breadth of knowledge about visual impairment and are here to support you. Whether you are the parent of a baby diagnosed with an eye condition, perhaps your child might need some mobility training, or maybe you yourself are a young adult in need of some advice. Visibility's Children & Families team is here to help anyone aged 0 - 21 years old who has a visual impairment, and provide support to them and their families. Referral Criteria: anyone aged 0 – 21
If you are attending a hospital in the Greater Glasgow and Clyde Health Board area, please speak to the Visibility Patient Support Service based hospital staff or ask to be referred.
Our Resource Room is packed with aids, equipment and technology that may be useful to someone with a sensory impairment. Referral Criteria: Open to anyone who can travel to our Glasgow office.
Visibility provides a range of community based services with adults affected by sight and hearing loss living in Dumfries and Galloway. Referral Criteria: Open to anyone with a sensory impairment and their families, throughout Dumfries and Galloway.
New View teaches a technique which helps people with central vision loss to read using their remaining vision. Referral Criteria: Available across the west of Scotland
Working with the Greater Glasgow and Clyde NHS Falls Prevention team, advice and support can be given to anyone who has fallen, falls, slips or trips regularly or is fearful of falling

Learning how to play the guitar and sing in a friendly, informal , fun environment. Referral Criteria: Open to anyone over 18 who can travel to Visibility offices for the classes or to a central point in Glasgow for activity sessions.
Training in tablets, mobile phones, apps, etc. that make everyday tasks like shopping and travelling that bit easier. Equipment is provided for the sessions.Referral Criteria: Open to children, young people and adults
