Hair and Skincare with City of Glasgow College

We’ve been spending our last two Saturdays at the City of Glasgow College for our Teenage hair and skincare workshops.

Here are a couple of tips we learned from the amazing lecturers Christina & Jackie.

1. When cleansing your face do it twice. This makes sure that all make up is removed and any dirt or excess oil.

2. Use a nail brush regularly to make sure all the dirt and grime is removed from under your nails.

3. When it comes to makeup, foundation should be used a base to even out skin tone, not to add colour. Match up foundation on your jawline so that it blends into the skin without being noticeable - this is the best way to find the right tone for you. Colour can be added with other products such as blusher or bronzer.

One of our teenagers said “My hands are basically wrecked. My hand are my eyes, so they do so much more for me” Jackie says it’s all the more reason to look after her hands and demonstrated a hand massage which was a huge hit!
