GDPR and You

Today you'll probably be getting more emails than you ever had before, all thanks to GDPR day!

What's that you say?

The GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) is Europe's new framework for data protection laws – it replaces the previous 1995 data protection directive, which current UK law is based upon. In the full text of GDPR there are 99 articles setting out the rights of individuals and obligations placed on organisations covered by the regulation. These include allowing people to have easier access to the data companies hold about them, a new fines regime and a clear responsibility for organisations to obtain the consent of people they collect information about.

Here at Visibility, we are committed to protecting and respecting your privacy by keeping your information secure and managing it in accordance with our legal responsibilities under privacy and data protection legislation. Our Privacy Notice explains what happens to any information that we collect when you get in touch, receive a service, make a donation or visit our site.  Remember, you can withdraw your consent at any time, and we will remove your details from our database on receipt of a phone call or email. Should you have any further questions, simply call us on 0141 332 4632 or email info@visibility.org.uk
