Our CEO of 20 years, Fiona Sandford, will be taking on a new role in March as the interim CEO of Visionary to cover maternity leave of their current CEO Alison Oliver.
Fiona said: “I love Visibility with all my heart. It is a fantastic organisation which does amazing work. I have made so many friends in my time here and because I am remaining in the sight loss sector, I won’t lose touch with anyone which is great. I am so excited to be moving to Visionary – it is also a fantastic organisation which works hard to make the world a better place for people with sight loss.”
All of us here at Visibility will dearly miss her, but we know she will do a wonderful job in her new position at Visionary and wish her all the best for the future.
Graham Findlay, Chair of Visionary, said: “I am delighted to welcome Fiona into this role. She has many years of experience working in the sight loss sector and I’m sure will be an excellent asset to Visionary. We have moved on significantly over the past 2 years and we are sure that Fiona and the team can continue with the fantastic work started by Alison.”
The Visibility trustees are currently working on how best to replace Fiona and we will have more news early in 2018!
