Go! Active Activites

Launched in Autumn 2007, Go Active is a varied programme of activities and events, aimed at encouraging people with visual impairments to get out and about and try new things. The events are open to all visually impaired adults and have become very popular with people of all ages.
There is a very busy walking group, normally on the third Saturday of each month, The group have tackled part of the West Highland Way,Stinchar Falls in Ayrshire, Loch Katrine and many more. The Go team choose the walks based on feedback from the group, so there is a real opportunity to get involved and decide which direction the group takes next. You don’t have to be an experienced walker either, as the walks are varied in length and chosen to enable as diverse a group as possible to take part.
