Listening and responding to people affected by sight loss in the west of Scotland

Legacy Giving

Leave a legacy – make a lasting difference

Remembering Visibility in your will is a way in which you can make a lasting difference to blind and partially sighted people living in Glasgow and the West of Scotland.

Many people who have enjoyed Visibility's support and services have kindly remembered us in their will. Legacies are an important source of funding for the continuation of Visibility's essential services.

cheque being writtenMr Lennox of Dunbartonshire benefited from our volunteer befriending service, and when he died in 2003 left Visibility a gift of £2,000 to help sustain this valuable service.

A legacy to Visibility can provide practical and important help for people with sight loss.

There are several ways you can give to Visibility in your will:

  • You can specify the amount in a stand alone clause
  • You could leave the residue of your estate after all debts and other legacies have been settled
  • You could allocate a percentage of your estate
  • You could specify a gift such as an item of jewellery, furniture or a painting
  • You could specify a memoriam gift in your will – quite often people would like their family and friends donate to a charity instead of sending flowers and wreaths

By thinking ahead, you could make a real difference to people affected by sight loss.  Have a chat with your legal advisor who will ensure that all your wishes are carried out.
