Whether it's driving Huskies through Lapland in arctic conditions , trekking through Peru to the lost city of Machu Picchu or navigating your way accross the vast Sahara desert. These expeditions will prove both challenging and life-changing for you and for the visually impaired people who will reap the benefits. Kilimanjaro - The Lemosho Trail

The Thistle and Clover Cycle Challenge takes in some of the most breathtaking scenery in Scotland and Ireland, including the two capital cities. The challenge starts off in Edinburgh and ends in Dublin with an evening celebration and overnight stay. Covering over 200 miles in 3 days, you will never forget the great sense of achievement as you reach the electric atmosphere of Dublin. So if you love cycling, good company and beautiful countryside, and want to raise funds to help people living with sight loss, this is the event for you!
London to Paris Cycle22-26 September 2010, 13-17 April 2011, 29 June-3 July 2011, 21-25 September 2011
This has to be the best fundraising cycle event in the current market! Starting from the city of London , the 300 mile, 4 day bike ride takes you through Kent countryside to then cross the Channel to Calais. You then push on cycling along quiet French country lanes, through traditional market towns, with views of the luscious green fields of Northern France. You will pass monuments and war memorials and the days will be long, but upon reaching Paris, you will know your efforts will be much rewarded. The pièce de résistance of this cycle challenge will be a spectacular view of the 324-metre high Eiffel Tower, which marks the finish line in the centre of this majestic city. Here you can celebrate your fundraising achievements Parisian style!

This challenge takes you to the heart of Lapland where you will spend six days sledding through rolling highlands and deep forest, into the heart of Lapland on an experience you will never forget, crossing the Swedish border, journeying through wild and untouched nature before arriving at the Ice Hotel in Jukkasjarvi.
Sleeping in native Sami tents, watching the Aurora Borealis and tending your dogs will help you gain a true feeling for living as the Laplanders do. - A truly unforgettable experience.
Peruvian Inca Trail Challenge

The Peruvian Inca Trail reaches an altitude of over 4,200 m, eventually reaching Machu Picchu the lost city of the Incas. Exceptionally challenging. - The journey to Machu Picchu along the Classic Four Day Inca Trail consists of 3 nights camping and trekking through sub-tropical vegetation, following one of the best trekking trails in the World!
Before setting off to conquer this awesome Challenge, we take a day to acclimatise by trekking to the famous Inca Sites that surround Cusco and also enjoying the buss of this majestic Inca Citadel.

The Great Wall Challenge

“You are not a man if you have not been to the Great Wall” so the saying goes in China. Stretching for 6,000kms, the Great Wall begins at Shanhaiguan and zigzags its way across China ending at the Jiayuguan Pass in the desert of Western China.
The Great Wall Challenge is a 9 day event exploring and trekking this man made wonder of the World.
You will take in the ‘hutongs’ the back lanes of Beijing and Gonwangu Palace, see the many fascinating watch-towers and battlements and also trek the most beautiful section of the Wall to Simatai.
A day’s hiking to Shixiaguan, enables you to actually ‘lend a hand’ repairing the Great Wall. A watchtower is being repaired, and the challenge will be to help carry the bricks from the bottom of the Wall to the top
Once at the top, experts will be there to help you place your brick in the Wall.
You will also get the opportunity to conquer the strenuous 1,000 steps at Mutinayu not for the faint hearted! Further Information..
Sahara Desert Trek

The Sahara! The Challenge is to trek for three days through this ever-changing landscape, and to climb to the top of the Chigaga Dunes, where you will witness the desert sun-rise. The days will be hot, and the trekking will be tough, but the rewards of conquering this desert and the pleasure of having the High Atlas Mountains as our backdrop will be worth it! The Everest Base Camp trek is the ultimate challenge of a lifetime!
This world renowned classic trek from Lukla to Kala Patthar takes you through the Worlds highest mountain range, and culminates with some of the best views of Mt Everest. It is a stunning route taking in some of the most breath-taking mountain scenery imaginable.
This extreme charity challenge takes you to a staggering altitude of 5,545m (18,192 ft), and offers beautiful views of snowy peaks such as Everest (8,848m), Lhotse (8,511m), Makalu (8,481m), Nuptse (7,879m), Ama Dablam (6,856m), Thamserku (6,623m) and…………….the list goes on. It’s pure Himalayan magic!!
The challenge is taken at a relaxed pace, with rest days for proper acclimatization. A sound level of fitness is required to make the most of this excellent trek. The walking at times will be strenuous and you will be tested to the limit, particularly on the climb to Kala Patthar but the rewards will be worth it.

Kilmanjaro - The Lemosho Trail

Join this fantastic trek to the Roof of Africa!! Standing at an impressive 5,895m over the African plains, Mt Kilimanjaro is one of Africa’s best sights and on reaching the summit of Uruhu Peak , well; you will have just summated the Worlds highest free-standing mountain and also, bagged one of the Worlds Seven Highest Summits. This challenging trek follows the much less trodden Lemosho Glades route and is said to be one of the most stunningly beautiful hikes in Africa.
Our Lemosho Trail Challenge consists of 8 days on the mountain, which will maximise your chances of acclimatisation and also conquering this mighty peak, and following this particular Trail has to be one the best ways to summit. Starting in the rainforest of the Lemosho Glades, to the west of the mountain, we then push up across the Shira Plateau making our way towards the Karanga Valley, and then up and up towards our goal Uruhu Peak.
You will trek through near enough every eco-system known to man this is a very exciting wilderness route which is being used to avoid overcrowding on the more trodden Machame Rout.
